Madison, WI — GrammaTech, Inc., a leading maker of tools that improve and accelerate embedded software development, today announced the expansion of its Madison, Wisconsin office. Headquartered in Ithaca, NY, GrammaTech first opened its Madison office in May 2013 to help transition GrammaTech co-founder and President Dr. Thomas Reps’ advanced research at the University of Wisconsin-Madison to the government and commercial sectors. Known for innovations in software analysis, including breakthroughs in machine code analysis, Dr. Reps is a respected global cyber-security thought leader.
Under the leadership of co-founders Dr. Reps and CEO Dr. Tim Teitelbaum, GrammaTech has continued to advance the state-of-the-art for cyber-security by creating solutions that help developers control the complexity of modern application development.
“Graduates with the intellectual aptitude and curiosity to meet the demands of advancing national cyber-security are in high demand at GrammaTech,” said Dr. Teitelbaum. “We are excited to open this additional space to further grow our Madison branch, making room for more talented new employees.”
GrammaTech’s software engineers are essential to the firm’s cutting-edge application security research, which the company conducts with a variety of US Government agencies, including NASA, NSF, and the Department of Defense. The resulting technologies are often commercialized for consumption by the broader public software development market.
“Our engineers are uniquely positioned to experience the entire software development process while working with incredibly skilled peers,” said Rae Harris, Director of Human Resources at GrammaTech. “Increasing the size of our research offices has allowed us to offer this experience to more software engineers in the immediate area, as well as the Midwest in general.”
