GrammaTech's Paul Anderson will give the keynote at the IEEE International Working Conference on Source Code Analysis and Manipulation. His talk will describe some of the engineering approaches that were taken during the development of the CodeSonar® bug finder to take it from a prototype to an industrial-strength analysis tool capable of operating on millions of lines of code. A wide variety of code bases are found in industry, and many extremes of usage exist, from code size through use of non-standard features and dialects. Some of the problems associated with handling these code bases will be described, and the solutions that were used to address them will be discussed.
The IEEE International Working Conference on Source Code Analysis and Manipulation will be held on September 28-29, 2008, at the Beijing Friendship Hotel in Beijing, China. For more information, visit http://www2008.ieee-scam.org/
