User Interface Engineer UE09-01
We're looking for an accomplished user interface engineer to join our company in Ithaca, New York. This is a newly-created position: you will have the opportunity to help define your role, but it will definitely include designing, evaluating and implementing interfaces as well as advocating for the user perspective.
Our users vary widely. CodeSonar® and CodeSurfer® are commercially available worldwide and are used by thousands of software engineers and security experts. On the other hand, some of our software is produced under contract and used only by a single group of highly trained computer scientists. User interface requirements vary accordingly; there will always be something interesting to work on.
This is a full time, salaried position with medical benefits, vacation, holidays, and a true forty hour week.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: BS Computer Science + 3 years or MS Computer Science
+ 1 year.
Candidates with PhDs or additional experience are encouraged to apply. Salary and responsibilities will be commensurate with level of education and experience.
- UI design training and/or significant experience designing high-quality user interfaces
- Proficiency in JavaScript and Python and C/C++
- HTML/XHTML markup, styling, and templating
- US citizenship. Security clearance or the ability to get clearance is a plus.
Beneficial Experience
We are especially interested in candidates with one or more of the following:
- Familiarity with software and data visualization techniques.
- Knowledge of compilers, static analysis, or software security.
