Sales Engineer S06-01

GrammaTech is looking for smart technical sales engineers that have a get-things-done focus. These are sales positions, but with a heavy technical component. We have great products and highly intelligent customers. If you are strong technically and like low-hype selling, this position could be a good fit. This position is located in Ithaca, NY. GrammaTech will cover some relocation costs if necessary.

Successful candidates will:

  • Conduct presentations for prospective customers using web conferencing software (e.g., WebEx).
  • Track leads/opportunities, move evaluations forward, and close deals.
  • Provide pre-sales technical support to engineers evaluating GrammaTech products.
  • Respond to both technical and non-technical questions from prospective customers.
  • Work to expand existing accounts.
  • Represent GrammaTech at tradeshows and other lead-generation events.

Qualifications

Technical expertise is just as important as sales experience. A BS/BA degree is required, preferably in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field. Strong knowledge of C/C++ is essential. Good knowledge of build environments (e.g., make) is important. A strong command of Windows and Unix is essential. Some travel will be required (up to 15%).
