Human Resources Assistant HR09-01
GrammaTech is looking for a human resources assistant to join our
company in Ithaca, New York. The successful applicant will report to
the Corporate Controller, and will provide administrative support to
matters relating to recruiting, hiring, terminations, security
clearances, immigration visas, payroll, and benefits.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Administering company benefits to include new enrollments, change
requests, COBRA, and FSA; serving as liaison between company and
insurance providers; serving as point of contact for employee
questions relating to benefits. Researching and making
recommendations for benefit enhancements.
- Preparing new hire packets and overseeing the new hire orientation
process.
- Maintaining the personnel database and other personnel
records.
- Assisting with security clearance and immigration visa application
processes.
- Acting as an informational resource to new and
prospective employees regarding relocation, company benefits,
etc.
- Drafting employment offer letters.
- Assisting with the annual employee performance review process.
- Assisting co-workers as needed; performing duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Organized, with high attention to detail and the ability to handle
and prioritize multiple tasks in order to meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive
information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Education: BA/BS, preferably in Business or Finance.
- Tool expertise: Word, Excel, FileMaker.
- US citizenship.
- Prior Human Resources experience preferred, but not required. PHR
certification a plus.
- Additional skills corresponding to those listed for the Sales Operations Coordinator position a plus.
