Tutorialshow-attribute

Each possible resting place for the structural selection is associated with (zero or more) attributes containing inferred information about the object relevant at the given location. Show-attribute provides a means of displaying that information.

The dialog box is initialized with a list of the names of all attributes associated with the current structural selection. Double-clicking on one of the attribute names invokes the command on that name.

Let a be the name of an attribute in the parameter box.

Start(a) copies the attribute named a of the current selection to the buffer named *show* and displays it in a window. Buffer *show* acquires the same syntactic mode as the attribute. An error message is issued if the current selection does not have an associated attribute with the given name.

Refresh updates the list of attribute names with respect to the current structural selection.
