If you do not yet have a license key, you can still install Ada-ASSURED
and at a later time run the mk_license program as
described in section License.
Perform the following steps to install Ada-ASSURED.
- Run the installation program:
- CD-ROM
-
The program INSTALL.RUN on the CD-ROM both copies the
files from the CD-ROM to the installation location, and then
automatically runs the installation program
aahome/Ada-ASSURED3.5/install. If you decide to change
default settings or to move the location of Ada-ASSURED, you
can just re-run the program aahome/Ada-ASSURED3.5/install.
- Mount the CD-ROM into directory /cdrom.
- cd /cdrom
- ./INSTALL.RUN
- Tar file
-
Change the current directory to Ada-ASSURED3.5:
cd aahome
./install.full
- The installation program prompts you for certain default
settings and for the license information contained on the
sheet titled ``Licensing Information for Ada-ASSURED''. If have
not yet obtained a license key then enter ``n'' when asked to
create a license file. If you desire a choice that is not
offered, you should probably make do for now with one of the
offered choices and later consult the User Guide &
Reference Manual for instructions on advanced customization.
Specifically, you will need to know:
- All the information on the sheet titled
``Licensing Information for Ada-ASSURED.''
- The default Ada compiler that you wish to use.
Ada-ASSURED is integrated with many compilers; this choice
determines which compiler is the default choice.
Site-wide preferences are recorded in initialization files for the X
server resource database. Individual users not content with the
choices made in this step can override these defaults according to
their own preferences, as described in Chapter
Change
Defaults.
Moving Ada-ASSURED3.5
Running install creates files in
aahome/Ada-ASSURED3.5/bin that contain absolute pathnames.
If you need to move
aahome/Ada-ASSURED3.5 at a later date, you must run install
again to reestablish the correct full pathnames.
