Installation: Demonstration License

Usage of Ada-ASSURED is controlled by the Globetrotter FLEXlm License Manager, a third-party application software package. The purpose of the license manager software is to control the number of simultaneous users of a licensed copy of Ada-ASSURED. It restricts the use of Ada-ASSURED to the evaluation period specified in the licensing agreement.

For a demonstration license, you do not need to start the FLEXlm License Manager.

The install script from section Install Script created the file license.dat in the directory aahome/Ada-ASSURED3.5/files. To run Ada-ASSURED, this license file must be accessible. The simplest choice is to set the environment variable LM_LICENSE_FILE to point at this license file by executing the command:

setenv LM_LICENSE_FILE aahome/Ada-ASSURED3.5/files/license.dat

If you have other applications that use FLEXlm, then you may copy the information in file aahome/Ada-ASSURED3.5/files/license.dat into the license file in use at your site. You may need to be root to do this.
