In general, errors from Ada-Audit are written to the buffer *Ada-Audit Message Log*. If something is going wrong with the audit, try looking at the contents of this buffer.

The following are a few common problems and solutions.

  1. Mosaic web browser error message: Protocol sg://(rel:goto-file not found

Try exiting Mosaic and restarting the help system from within Ada-ASSURED.

  2. Status pane error message: File filename-style not found.

Try scrolling to previous status pane messages using the up-arrow in the lower left of the Ada-ASSURED window to view previous errors. The previous messages may give a clue as to the problem, such as the directory is not writable, the buffer is in TEXT mode, or the buffer was modified since last saved.

  3. Window *Ada-Audit Message Log* keeps popping up.

This buffer reports error messages from Ada-Audit. The default behavior is to pop up the window at the end of every audit. If you do not like this behavior, you may change it by editing file aa-audit.stk in the scripts/aa-audit directory. Look for "NOTE:" and follow the instructions in the code comments.
